What You Bring to the Team:Master's Degree with 4+ years of professional experience in data science. Hands-on experience with Kohesio (beneficiary data) and the Cohesion Open Data Platform (programmatic data). Deep understanding of EUROSTAT regional and country-level datasets. Familiarity with BvD’s Orbis database and the EU Industrial R&D Investment Scoreboard. Proficiency in managing and analyzing Horizon beneficiary data. Experience with various EU funding instruments (e.g., RRF data). Expertise in R and/or Stata for comprehensive data manipulation and analysis. Proficient in Python for data processing and automation tasks. Strong ability to conduct effective statistical modeling and quantitative analysis. Exceptional skills in harmonizing and integrating a variety of heterogeneous data sources. Expertise in producing clear and well-structured technical documentation and metadata catalogs. Commitment to maintaining high standards of data integrity and methodological rigor. Strong analytical skills and a proactive approach to resolving complex data challenges. Proficiency in Spanish (B1 level) is a plus.

In this dynamic role, you will collaborate closely with public sector clients, spearheading the development of new business opportunities. Your responsibilities will include cultivating a solid client portfolio through strong, enduring relationships, while meticulously monitoring project progress to ensure outstanding service delivery and added value.

Key Contributions:

  • Design and implement robust data pipelines to ingest, harmonize, and update diverse datasets, ensuring meticulous management of version changes, schema alterations, and stringent data quality checks.
  • Provide continuous support in the maintenance of TEDV technical documentation as new data sources are added, indicators are developed, or methodologies are refined.
  • Create composite indicators from raw datasets, including thorough documentation of methodologies and upkeep of a metadata catalog to guarantee the reproducibility and auditability of all derived metrics.
  • Merge macro-level data with micro-level beneficiary data to deliver precise regional statistics.
  • Assist in territorial analyses concentrating on industrial transitions and the governance of EU funding.
  • Engage proactively with business analysts, clients, and project leaders to ensure project alignment and success.
