Qualifications include:Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health, Safety, or a related field. Proven experience in EHS roles, preferably within a corporate setting. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret regulations and technical documents. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to collaborate and build relationships across various levels of the organization. Certification in safety management or related disciplines is a plus.

Join ec-electric as an Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Professional, where you will play a crucial role in ensuring safe and compliant work environments. In this position, you will review, evaluate, and analyze workplace conditions while developing and implementing policies and procedures that adhere to health, safety, and environmental regulations. You will also design proactive programs aimed at preventing workplace injuries and environmental damage. Your expertise will be vital in analyzing compliance with regulations and technical issues, and you will communicate these findings effectively to clients, colleagues, and regulatory agencies as necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the objectives of the safety organization by actively participating in various EHS initiatives.
  • Plan, implement, and coordinate comprehensive safety programs and procedures.
  • Stay updated on regulatory changes and ensure the organization’s manuals, policies, and procedures reflect current standards.
  • Collaborate with safety personnel across multiple sites to foster consistency and knowledge sharing.
  • Mentor and support the development of safety skills among employees and leadership.
  • Lead the execution of the facility's safety vision and guide staff towards achieving it.
  • Conduct and coordinate employee training on safety regulations, hazardous conditions, and safety equipment usage.
  • Maintain an up-to-date training matrix for site-specific required training.
  • Investigate incidents (including near misses and injuries) while following established notification protocols and supporting case management.
  • Lead risk and hazard assessments, documenting findings and implementing corrective actions to minimize risks.
  • Focus on ergonomic initiatives to reduce the risk of musculoskeletal disorders.
  • Collaborate with project teams to develop Environmental Health and Safety plans for new projects.
