The VDC Technician will be responsible for executing various VDC functions across all projects while collaborating closely with the VDC Project Coordinator to ensure adherence to VDC standards in cooperation with clients and sub-consultants. This role involves close interaction with CRB's project discipline leads and the VDC Regional Manager to drive internal VDC standardization. Projects will encompass both renovations of existing buildings and new construction, varying in size, and will require comprehensive documentation across multiple disciplines, including but not limited to Architecture, Electrical, Fire Protection, HVAC, Piping (Mechanical, Process, Plumbing), and Structural. A strong enthusiasm for VDC innovations and emerging technologies within the AEC industry is essential.
Your Contributions:
Under the guidance of a designated mentor, you will assist in the development and execution of project deliverables. Projects will primarily focus on pharmaceutical, biotech, food and beverage, or industrial processes, involving both retrofits of existing structures and new builds.
Support VDC Coordinators with VDC functions across all projects.
Help monitor and audit compliance with VDC standards on projects.
Collaborate with the VDC P&ID Administrator and project teams to prepare, execute, and finalize project deliverables (e.g., P&ID drawings, specifications, lists, BOMs).
Assist in maintaining a robust P&ID infrastructure, including the P&ID SQL database and supporting project files.
Assist all disciplines with drawing edits and redlines.
Conduct site visits to document existing conditions utilizing VDC technologies and tools.
