Qualifications

Requirements:Minimum of 1 year of experience in IT Infrastructure Operations and/or Support. Willingness to work in a 24/7 shift pattern, including weekends. Strong foundational knowledge of Internet technologies, including TCP/IP, HTTP, SSL, DNS, OWASP Top 10, and web servers (e.g., Apache, IIS, Nginx). Understanding of firewalls, Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR), IDS/IPS, and WAF. Preferred Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree or Polytechnic Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Information Systems. Familiarity with scripting (e.g., shell scripting, PHP, Perl, Java) and Regular Expressions. Experience in TCP/IP packet analysis and network debugging using tools like tcpdump. Knowledge of web security technologies such as web application firewalls and proxies. General understanding of security technologies, processes, and concepts. Industry-recognized security certifications (e.g., GCIA, GCIH, CISSP, CISA, CEH) are a plus. Experience in writing and decoding exploit, vulnerability, and attack detection signatures. Prior experience working within a SOC team is advantageous.

Join our client, a leading telecommunications service provider in Singapore, as they expand their team. We are seeking a dedicated L1 Security Analyst to enhance their security operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 24/7 triage and rapid analysis of real-time security alerts, generating tickets or escalating issues to L2 Security Analysts as necessary.
  • Manage automated incident tickets related to the health of SOCaS infrastructure, IT/OT managed security devices, or website defacement alerts.
  • Oversee problem management until resolution, ensuring that Service Level Agreements (SLAs) are met, liaising with customers regarding security incidents, and implementing remedial actions to bolster network security.
