What We Seek:A minimum of 5 years of experience in selling multi-million dollar complex software deals to prominent organizations within the Public Sector. In-depth knowledge of segment priorities, buying processes, cycles, and decision-making dynamics. Experience in selling usage-based PaaS/SaaS solutions or other Data/AI/ML technologies.5+ years of proficiency in sales methodologies and processes, including account planning, MEDDPICC, value selling, and Command of the Message.5+ years of experience in hunting within greenfield spaces while also consulting with existing accounts for further expansion. Ability to cultivate customer champions and collaborative teams to support the execution of expansion plans.

Join Databricks as an Enterprise Account Executive specializing in the Public Sector, where your primary focus will be to identify, engage, and cultivate new business opportunities across diverse industries. This pivotal role is centered on acquiring new logos and propelling revenue growth by targeting enterprise accounts within the public sector. As a proactive "hunter," you will excel in forging relationships, navigating intricate sales cycles, and closing substantial deals. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to offer customized solutions that meet client requirements and foster long-term partnerships. You will report directly to the Sales Director for the Public Sector.

Your Impact:

  • Secure new enterprise accounts within a wide range of clients, establishing a robust foundation for sustainable partnerships.
  • Develop and implement targeted strategies to identify and capture high-potential accounts in underexplored markets.
  • Identify and capitalize on quick wins while managing longer, complex sales cycles.
  • Plan, document, and drive the expansion of Databricks usage in newly acquired accounts to maximize customer impact.
  • Build essential C-Level relationships, including those in Engineering, Platform, Architecture, and Data Science, to cultivate industry advocates.
  • Adopt a solution-oriented sales approach that delivers value to customers.
  • Gain in-depth knowledge of the customer's business and provide guidance to key staff and technical teams.
  • Identify critical data use cases and buying centers to enhance the impact of Databricks within the organization.
  • Coordinate and leverage Databricks teams and ecosystem partners to amplify your sales efforts.
