Job Summary:

We are seeking an Engineering Manager for State Estimation to lead a dynamic team in the creation of cutting-edge mapping, localization, and SLAM (Simultaneous Localization and Mapping) solutions aimed at embedded camera systems. This role involves overseeing the research, development, and implementation of large-scale mapping and localization solutions while driving technical strategy and fostering collaboration across device, cloud, and applied AI teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Guide, mentor, and manage a talented team of engineers in developing pioneering mapping, localization, and SLAM algorithms.

  • Establish technical direction and prioritize projects in alignment with organizational objectives.

  • Lead impactful, cross-functional projects from inception to deployment, collaborating closely with research, hardware, and product teams.

  • Provide expert advice on algorithm design, system architecture, and implementation while promoting software development best practices and performance optimization.

  • Cultivate a culture of innovation, technical excellence, and teamwork within the department.

  • Create and manage project roadmaps, milestones, and comprehensive technical documentation.

  • Collaborate with senior leadership to shape long-term strategies for localization, state estimation, and multi-sensor calibration.

  • Review and endorse designs, architectures, and implementations, ensuring top-tier technical quality and scalability.

  • Lead recruitment and performance management to build an outstanding engineering team.
