General Summary
As the Engineering Manager, you will lead a dynamic engineering team within a cross-functional product development environment. You will oversee the successful execution and delivery of features that delight our customers. Your responsibilities encompass the entire software development lifecycle, including collaborating with the Product Manager to define requirements, project planning, ensuring product quality, and delivering exceptional customer experiences. Additionally, you will champion continuous improvement initiatives within the team, enhance engineering processes, and mentor engineers to foster their growth.
You are a lifelong learner who approaches challenges as opportunities for enhancement and values input from team members at all levels. You will work closely with the MakeMusic Practice Architects Team and collaborate with Product and Customer teams, reporting directly to the VP of Engineering for Music Brands.
Core Functions:
- Foster an environment for team success by establishing clear goals, ensuring alignment with product and business objectives, and promoting collaborative execution within and beyond the team.
- Recruit, train, mentor, and lead software engineers to achieve business goals and engineering excellence.
- Manage team performance through continuous feedback, regular performance evaluations, mentorship, and role assessments.
- Conduct annual reviews and recommend promotions and salary adjustments as necessary.
- Collaborate transparently with other functional managers to identify and pursue inter-team opportunities and address challenges.
