Key ResponsibilitiesTechnical Leadership:Own a domain/subdomain and define the technical roadmap for the next 0-6 months. Collaborate with senior engineers to ensure architectural consistency. Take responsibility for the reliability, availability, and security of your systems. Guarantee that all systems have proper support, SLAs, on-call rotas, and comprehensive documentation. Delivery Management:Oversee your team's delivery, including sprint planning and project health monitoring. Evaluate the criticality of unplanned work, minimizing context-switching and undue pressure. Balance team capacity with roadmap requirements. Foster a sense of urgency to strike the right balance between speed and quality. Ensure all incidents are adequately addressed. Cross-Functional Collaboration:Act as the primary liaison between engineering and product, partnering with your product counterpart to ensure complete alignment. Effectively communicate progress and escalate issues as needed. People Management:Lead and manage a high-performing engineering team.
