We equip you with the necessary tools, resources, and support to accelerate your career growth.
AI at Brex
Our AI Engineering team is transforming financial operations by embedding intelligent, autonomous systems within the Brex platform. We create AI agents that not only provide insights but also take proactive actions, optimizing spending, managing workflows, and making real-time decisions for our clients. By integrating proprietary financial data with our product infrastructure, we aim to simplify complex financial processes and set new benchmarks for modern finance.
Your Role
As the Engineering Manager for the Brex Assistant, you will lead a team dedicated to developing a consumer-facing conversational AI product. This innovative product will empower customers to make expedited and confident financial decisions regarding spend approvals, policy understanding, issue resolution, and more. You will be responsible for both team leadership and product outcomes, overseeing the design, deployment, and operational management of our agentic systems.
This role is deeply rooted in product development, with success being defined by the tangible impact on our customers — improved expense documentation, enhanced policy compliance, and reduced navigation time within Brex, rather than mere novelty or research outcomes.
Work Environment
This position is based in our Seattle office. We embrace a hybrid work model that merges the dynamic energy of in-office collaboration with the flexibility of remote work. Currently, we require team members to be in the office at least two coordinated days per week (Wednesday and Thursday), transitioning to three days per week starting February 2, 2026 (Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday). Additionally, we offer up to four weeks of fully remote work each year!
