Qualifications:Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Energy Engineering, or a related field. A minimum of 5 years of experience in energy efficiency, retro-commissioning (RCx), or related engineering fields. In-depth knowledge of HVAC systems, building controls, refrigeration, and thermal/fluid systems. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to provide constructive feedback and convey complex technical information clearly. Strong analytical skills and a problem-solving mindset to address project challenges. Experience mentoring junior professionals is a plus.

Resource Innovations is on the lookout for a talented Engineering Lead to enhance our growing team in Massachusetts. We are particularly interested in a Senior Energy Engineer who is passionate about commercial and industrial retro-commissioning (RCx) and energy management DSM program engineering. In this role, you will empower our clients with the tools and support they need to identify, quantify, and successfully implement cost-effective energy-efficiency projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and assist in the execution of retro-commissioning (RCx) and energy management projects for commercial and industrial clients.
  • Evaluate Qualified Service Provider (QSP) submissions, including reports and project documentation, to ensure they meet program requirements.
  • Deliver clear and constructive technical feedback to QSPs, utility clients, and internal teams.
  • Help develop program materials, including calculation tools and technical guides.
  • Collaborate with QSPs and utility clients to evaluate RCx project feasibility.
  • Summarize project outcomes, highlighting energy savings and cost-effectiveness for utility clients.
  • Conduct site visits to assess project scope and support measurement and verification initiatives.
  • Mentor junior engineers, ensuring project reviews maintain high-quality standards and technical accuracy.
  • Provide training on RCx methodologies and HVAC systems to junior engineers.
  • Identify project implementation barriers and propose innovative solutions to enhance program success.
  • Perform additional duties as necessary.
