Role OverviewAs a Member of Technical Staff with leadership responsibilities, you will spearhead and nurture a high-performing engineering team that operates at the crossroads of AI and software development. This role seamlessly blends people management with substantial hands-on technical involvement; you will design, develop, and deliver software while overseeing your team of talented engineers. You will report directly to Maurilio, our Head of Engineering, collaborating closely with the broader Engineering organization as well as Product and Design teams. We seek a candidate who thrives on balancing strategic vision with practical execution—actively writing code, facilitating delivery, and establishing a high technical standard while empowering your team to excel. Qualifications We SeekEssential CriteriaA minimum of 8 years in software engineering, with at least 3 years in a managerial role overseeing an engineering team. Direct and relevant experience working with various AI coding tools. A robust technical foundation with hands-on coding experience; adept at reviewing and contributing to code. Proven experience managing high-performing teams in dynamic startup environments (preferably Series A-C). A strong track record of hiring, mentoring, and developing engineers across diverse skill levels. In-depth understanding of modern software development practices, CI/CD, and engineering excellence. Excellent communication skills, capable of bridging technical details with strategic vision. Ability to navigate ambiguity and make informed decisions with limited information. A passion for fostering inclusive and collaborative team cultures.
