Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships at all levels of the organization. Proven experience in managing complex employee relations cases. Strong analytical skills to interpret and report on employee relations data. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Role Overview

The Employee Relations Specialist plays a key role in supporting leaders with complex employee relations casework. This position sits within the People team and helps maintain compliance with company policies, regulatory standards, and employment law. The role is based in London and follows a hybrid working pattern: at least 10 days per month in the office, with the option to work remotely for the rest of the time.

What You Will Do

  • Support managers on employee relations matters, including grievances, investigations, disciplinary cases, whistleblowing, and complex performance or absence management.
  • Advise on how the FCA’s Conduct Rules and the Senior Manager & Certification Regime apply to employee relations issues.
  • Provide guidance during organizational change projects.
  • Identify ways to improve employee relations processes and help implement best practices.
  • Act as an escalation point for People Partners and People Advisors on complex cases.
  • Contribute to the execution of the overall employee relations strategy.
  • Work with Compliance, Legal, and Reward teams to develop governance frameworks around employee conduct.
  • Assist in drafting and reviewing policies to reflect changes in employment law and regulation.
  • Help design and deliver employee relations training for the business and the wider People team.
  • Ensure accurate reporting of employee relations data and support the production of analytics, including trend analysis.

What We’re Looking For

  • Approximately 4+ years of dedicated experience in Employee Relations, ideally within Financial or Professional Services.
  • Strong knowledge of employment law, regulatory requirements, and best practices.
  • Experience supporting leaders with complex casework.

Location and Working Pattern

  • Based in London, England, United Kingdom
  • Hybrid: Minimum 10 days per month in the office, remainder remote
