Key ResponsibilitiesMonitor patient status and team workload to ensure optimal care delivery. Oversee daily operations and adapt workflows in response to unexpected challenges. Assign and clarify shift roles, adapting as needed with empathy and precision. Assist on the floor as needed, demonstrating that no task is too small. Facilitate breaks, resolve conflicts, and model composure under pressure. Lead shift transitions, team meetings, and daily wrap-ups. Communicate effectively, directing inquiries appropriately and addressing key issues. Encourage team learning during downtime and promote a culture of growth. Document notable events with a focus on transparency and improvement.

About the Role

As a Shift Lead in our veterinary nursing team, you will be the cornerstone of each shift, ensuring top-tier patient care and fostering a thriving environment for all VEGgies. Your leadership will guide the rhythm and dynamics of the shift, from conducting team huddles to providing on-the-floor coaching. With an overarching view of operations, you will anticipate needs and contribute wherever necessary, empowering your team to deliver exceptional care.
