THE ROLE
As a per diem Emergency Credentialed Veterinary Technician, you will be an integral part of a dedicated team on the front lines of emergency veterinary care, where every moment is critical. You will handle a variety of cases, from minor incidents to complex emergencies, working closely with our veterinarians to deliver compassionate, high-quality care. Your responsibilities will include triage, diagnostics, anesthesia, monitoring, and critical care nursing, all while providing emotional support to pet parents during their most challenging times. This role is ideal for someone eager to apply their training, enhance their skills, and assist both pets and their owners in urgent situations.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide compassionate care for every patient and their owner, ensuring that they feel supported throughout their journey with us.
- Act decisively in critical situations, delivering nursing care and emotional support from triage through discharge.
- Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and perform advanced procedures such as IVs and blood transfusions.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and contribute to the development of care plans.
- Be prepared to perform CPR, as we offer ongoing training and boast one of the highest numbers of RECOVER CPR professionals in the field.
