About the job

At SpaceX, we are driven by the vision of a future where humanity expands its boundaries beyond Earth, exploring the cosmos. Our commitment to this mission is unwavering as we develop and innovate the technologies that will enable human life on Mars.

ADVANCED ELECTRONICS TEST ENGINEER

We are excited to announce a pivotal role within our Radiation Effects team, as we strive to enhance our capabilities for safe and rapid access to space. SpaceX has recently acquired a state-of-the-art 230 MeV cyclotron to perform in-house radiation single event effects testing. This advanced proton particle accelerator will enable us to screen and evaluate electronics for our vehicles and platforms, enhancing our ability to characterize chip and PCBA performance as we advance our AI constellations and deep space exploration missions. We are seeking elite Electronics Test Engineers to join us in harnessing this groundbreaking capability and helping to expand human consciousness into the stars.

As a vital member of our fast-paced Radiation Effects team, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and performance of avionics hardware across our diverse fleet of vehicles, including Dragon, Falcon, Starship, Lunar Human Landing System, and satellites such as Starlink and Starshield. You will engage in rigorous testing and analysis to ensure maximum reliability in harsh radiation environments. Your role will involve the design and development of innovative test systems that validate component performance across a variety of systems, allowing for a comprehensive understanding of failure modes. This is a unique opportunity to create and implement testing infrastructure from the ground up, including hardware, software, and test sequences.
