Your Role as an Electrical Engineer

As an Electrical Engineer with Marathon Fusion, you will collaborate with our R&D team, which consists of mechanical engineers, physicists, and technicians, to prototype, test, and implement solutions that enhance fusion fuel cycles. Your contributions will be crucial in developing robust power electronics for our Plasma Centrifuge and Transmutation research and development initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop power electronics subsystems, including capacitor banks, battery systems, power conversion, and switching.
  • Prototype and test printed circuit boards (PCBs) for experimental systems.
  • Integrate power electronics into high-voltage and high-current systems at the platform level.
  • Collaborate closely with mechanical engineers, controls engineers, physicists, and technicians to build and integrate electrical systems into experimental platforms.
  • Conduct testing, validation, and troubleshooting of hardware in laboratory settings.
  • Promote safe design practices for high-energy systems.
