Preferred Qualifications:- Fluency in Italian.- Degree or enrollment in Education, Italian Language, or a related field.- Previous experience teaching Italian to children.- Knowledge of Italian culture, music, and traditions to enhance lessons.

Join our vibrant team as an Italian Instructor for our afterschool program at PS166! This is a remarkable chance to immerse Kindergarten through 5th grade students in the charm of the Italian language and culture. We seek a dynamic individual who can infuse energy, songs, visuals, and creativity into lessons, making language acquisition engaging and enjoyable for young learners.

Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver beginner-level Italian vocabulary, conversational phrases, songs, and cultural insights through interactive and enjoyable lessons.
- Design and conduct age-appropriate language activities that enhance listening, speaking, and comprehension skills.
- Foster a nurturing, inclusive classroom environment that encourages curiosity and cultural appreciation.
- Assist students in building confidence by utilizing Italian in simple, practical contexts.
- Maintain effective communication with administration and families as necessary.
- Complete attendance and incident reports as required.

This Role Is Perfect For You If:
- You have experience working with students, preferably at the elementary level.
- You possess proficiency in Italian; fluency is highly preferred.
- You have a background in educating children, ideally in a language learning environment.
- You exhibit strong classroom management skills and an engaging teaching style.
- You are enthusiastic, creative, and culturally inquisitive.

Schedule:
- Day: Friday (part-time availability)
- Time: 2:40 PM - 5:40 PM (split into two sessions: early session from 2:40 PM-4:20 PM and late session from 4:20 PM-5:40 PM)
- Season kicks off on September 4th, and we are looking for candidates who can commit for the entire 2025-26 school year.
