About Obvio AI
Every year, over 7,500 pedestrians lose their lives due to vehicular accidents in the U. S., a figure that has surged by 70% in the last decade. Despite increased awareness, cities continue to face challenges in addressing hazardous driving behaviors. Efforts towards achieving 'Vision Zero' are proving insufficient.
At Obvio AI, we aim to revolutionize this narrative.
Utilizing solar-powered, AI-enhanced cameras, we enforce traffic regulations in areas where pedestrians are most at risk—automating enforcement in ways that traditional systems or police departments cannot. Our innovative approach has already resulted in significant reductions in reckless driving, enhancing safety for pedestrians, drivers, and law enforcement alike.
Founded by the creators of Motive’s AI dashcam, Obvio is backed by prominent investors including Bain Capital Ventures and Khosla Ventures. Following a successful $22M Series A funding round, we are collaborating with some of the most progressive cities in the nation. With robust revenue streams, a vast market opportunity, and favorable policy trends, we are establishing the intelligence framework for safer streets worldwide.
The Opportunity
Obvio is in search of a high-impact Account Executive to be located at our San Carlos headquarters, tasked with driving revenue on a national scale. This role is tailored for a sales-oriented professional who excels in early-stage environments, is adept at navigating complex government and public-sector sales, and is prepared to influence our go-to-market strategies as we expand.
You will manage the complete sales cycle—from initial discovery to closing—while collaborating closely with leadership, product, and marketing teams. Although this role is primarily office-based, occasional travel will be necessary to engage with key customers, oversee pilot programs, and explore strategic opportunities across the United States.
What You’ll Do
Lead and finalize mid-market to enterprise sales opportunities throughout a national territory.
Engage with state and local government agencies, particularly focusing on transportation, public safety, and stakeholders related to law enforcement.
Navigate intricate buying committees, lengthy sales cycles, and procurement processes.
Build strong perspectives on customer challenges and translate these into persuasive business proposals.
Collaborate closely with product and engineering teams to support pilots, proof-of-concept projects, and customer feedback integration.
Contribute to refining Obvio’s sales playbooks, messaging, and early go-to-market processes.
Represent Obvio at customer meetings, site visits, and industry events as necessary.
What We're Looking For
Proven track record in sales, preferably within technology or public-sector environments.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to think critically and solve complex problems.
Self-motivated with a strong work ethic.
