Role overview

The Director of Security Engineering and Operations will lead Cognism’s technical security strategy across web and data products, as well as the wider corporate environment. Reporting to the CISO, this position shapes and maintains a security program that protects Cognism’s core assets: data, the data fusion engine, and the underlying logic.

What you will do

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive security engineering program for Cognism’s products and infrastructure.
  • Collaborate closely with R&D, engineering, product, and IT leadership to define and execute a long-term security maturity roadmap.
  • Establish measurable security processes and controls, ensuring secure-by-design principles are embedded throughout engineering.
  • Drive operational excellence in information security, supporting Cognism’s growth and technical evolution.

Requirements

  • Experience building and leading security programs for complex, data-driven products.
  • Ability to align security strategy with engineering, product, and IT teams.
  • Strong background in establishing security controls and processes from the ground up.
  • Comfort working on security challenges related to AI, scalability, and rapid engineering cycles.
