Key Responsibilities:Lead the development, scaling, and management of Censys’ corporate security infrastructure. Oversee the organization’s security needs from endpoint provisioning to implementing tools that enhance our security posture while simplifying processes for employees. Manage the Security team, assigning daily tasks and ensuring critical functions are covered during personnel absences to maintain high service levels. Oversee the complete lifecycle of endpoints, including provisioning, application deployment, security controls, and asset retirement. Collaborate with internal teams to enforce compliance and educate users on the impact of security policies on their daily tasks. Manage and secure cloud environments, coordinating the security configuration of software and tools. Design and deliver comprehensive Security Awareness Training for internal staff. Document security processes and develop a knowledge base for the security team. Design, implement, and oversee the company’s Data Loss Prevention (DLP) program, including policies, tools, and their enforcement across endpoints, cloud, and email.

Position Overview:

As the Director of Security and Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC), you will spearhead Censys' corporate security initiatives and oversee our governance, risk, and compliance programs. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure our systems are secure, highly available, and user-friendly, while strictly adhering to key compliance frameworks such as ISO 27001, SOC 2 Type 2, UK NCSC Cyber Essentials+, and CMMC. You will manage our data loss prevention, insider threat, and security telemetry programs, ensuring that Censys maintains the necessary visibility and controls to effectively detect and respond to potential threats. This role demands an experienced security leader adept at merging hands-on technical security with strategic compliance management, building scalable systems and processes that enhance our organization's security posture.
