About Ditto
Ditto builds technology that keeps data moving at the edge, even when networks are unreliable or unavailable. Developers use Ditto’s peer-to-peer synchronization engine to power real-time applications that work in places like stadiums, airplanes, and remote military bases. The platform ensures devices stay connected and data remains consistent, regardless of internet access. Ditto is backed by over $145 million in funding and trusted by organizations such as Chick-fil-A, Delta Airlines, and the U. S. military. The company serves sectors including aviation, retail, travel, hospitality, and defense. As a distributed startup, Ditto values diversity and inclusion, bringing together a range of perspectives to solve tough connectivity problems.
Role Overview: Director of Program Management (Remote – Washington, DC)
This position leads Ditto’s Public Sector program management from the ground up. Unlike traditional defense contracting roles focused on staffing, this is a product-focused position. The Director will help drive adoption of Ditto’s commercial software in challenging Department of War environments. Collaboration with Field Development Engineers, Solutions Architects, and Sales is central to delivering results at startup speed.
About the Edge Sync Platform
Ditto’s Edge Sync Platform creates resilient peer-to-peer mesh networks for disconnected, denied, intermittent, and limited (DDIL) environments. The platform works without servers or cloud infrastructure, ensuring data continuity where it matters most. Ditto is a Series B startup with $82 million raised and a fast-growing customer base that includes Delta, Chick-fil-A, Lufthansa, Japan Airlines, and the U. S. Air Force.
What You Will Do
Run Programs
- Oversee scope, schedule, cost, quality, and profit & loss (P&L) across the program portfolio. This role carries financial accountability.
- Translate customer mission requirements into internal priorities with Product and Engineering teams. Deliver on tight timelines that reflect operational urgency, not traditional acquisition cycles.
- Set up program controls that balance speed with government compliance. Identify risks early and resolve them before they become issues.
- Act as the program authority on DFAR compliance and CMMC readiness. While not managing security infrastructure directly, provide guidance to Security, IT, and Finance teams when compliance clauses arise. Think of this role as an air traffic controller, guiding rather than piloting.
Grow the Business
- Develop and execute strategies to expand Ditto’s presence in the Public Sector.
