Located in the Bay Area and reporting directly to the Senior Director of Personalized Learning & Achievement, the Director of Integrated Special Education (ISE) will play a pivotal role as a strategic leader within the Schools team, crucial in advancing the vision and quality of Integrated Special Education at Rocketship. Our network currently operates thirteen elementary schools in the Bay Area, serving a total of 6,600 students, including over 500 students with disabilities. The Director of ISE will lead a team to ensure that all Rocketeers receive support in a compliant, effective, and high-quality environment, aiming for 1.5 years of growth in both math and literacy.
 
Additionally, the Director of ISE will work diligently to establish Rocketship as the leading national exemplar for meaningful inclusion among charter schools and traditional districts. At Rocketship, we are committed to providing robust support and resources for our ISE team and initiatives. The Director will be responsible for managing the special education program resources to ensure our schools and the Bay Area region achieve financial self-sufficiency, relying solely on public funding. This role also involves overseeing Rocketship’s Integrated Special Education service provider teams, including Speech and Occupational Therapy, as well as the program specialist team and additional departmental support staff. The Director will deliver on-site support, consultation, and coaching for school teams to meet and exceed all network goals and initiatives.
 
The Director of Integrated Special Education is expected to be relentless in driving key network initiatives, including instructional excellence for all students, departmental compliance, and collaborative practices to ensure that every student at our school sites receives the top-tier education and support they deserve.
