Luminis Health is seeking a Director of Facilities based in Annapolis, MD. This position sits within the Engineering and Maintenance department and reports directly to the Vice President of Administrative and Support Services. The role is classified as exempt under FLSA guidelines.

Role overview

The Director of Facilities leads both the strategic direction and daily operations of facilities management at Luminis Health. This leader is responsible for maintaining a safe and comfortable hospital environment for staff, patients, and visitors. The scope includes oversight of human resources, asset management, and ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. In addition, the Director acts as Project Director for construction, renovation, and equipment installation projects.

Key responsibilities

  • Set and communicate a shared vision for the department, guiding project planning, construction quality, and significant equipment acquisitions while managing associated risks.
  • Develop operational plans to boost efficiency and minimize downtime, ensuring departmental needs are addressed during facility redesigns.
  • Oversee operational and capital budgets, provide forecasts, and align spending with organizational priorities throughout each project phase.
  • Implement and monitor maintenance programs that meet safety standards, including scheduling and tracking preventive maintenance activities.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships across departments to foster a culture of respect and inclusion.
