About the job

The Site Management team is responsible for overseeing the infrastructure space, power management, physical security, and structured cabling at all Squarepoint Capital's data centers, offices, and colocation facilities. This team collaborates with both internal stakeholders and external partners to establish and implement design standards, execution strategies, techniques, runbooks, and procedural documents that govern the delivery of infrastructure projects globally, ensuring high levels of consistency and quality.

We are excited to announce a new opportunity for a Data Center Technician within our Site Team. The Data Center Technician will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and monitoring of equipment and systems within the data center, adhering to established standards and processes for Install, Move, Add, and Change (IMAC). This role is critical in swiftly identifying and rectifying data center issues.

This position is for an evening shift, Monday to Friday from 2 PM to 10 PM, or Tuesday to Friday from 2 PM to 10 PM plus Saturday from 9 AM to 5 PM.

  • Maintain data center infrastructure (power, cooling, hardware, cabling, tools/supplies) in accordance with established standards.
  • Conduct requirements gathering and planning for new hardware installations (including physical location, power, cooling requirements, cabling) to ensure efficient deployment.
  • Install and onboard data center infrastructure components (such as cabinets, PDUs, structured cabling), ensuring proper integration and functionality.
  • Rack and cable data center hardware (servers, network equipment, storage devices).
  • Perform hardware troubleshooting and repair as needed.
