Your responsibilities will span from customer order payments through downstream operations, inclusive of refunds, cancellations, fraud checks, vendor payouts, reporting, and regulatory compliance. Your engineering expertise, leadership acumen, and ability to navigate a complex stakeholder landscape will be essential.You will collaborate closely with Product Managers, Finance stakeholders, Engineering leaders, C-level executives, and Delivery Hero teams to enhance operational efficiency, elevate technical standards, and support the growth of the domain as our business expands. Technical EnvironmentOur architecture employs microservices, with over 80 services managing high volumes of requests through both synchronous and event-driven communication.Our technology stack includes Golang, REST APIs, gRPC, Kubernetes, AWS, GCP, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis, and messaging platforms like SNS, SQS, Kafka, and cloud messaging services.As part of the Delivery Hero group, we maintain close collaboration with their Global Services teams. Your Responsibilities:Lead the Fintech engineering domain, managing a hybrid team structure that includes an Engineering Manager and senior engineers, adapting the team layout as priorities evolve.Collaborate with Product Managers to drive the delivery of innovative payment capabilities and domain enhancements, while providing valuable technical insights, tradeoffs, and prioritization guidance.Engage with Finance stakeholders to optimize finance flows, minimize discrepancies, enhance automation, and clarify cross-team issues and dependencies.Provide technical leadership by guiding architectural and design decisions, mentoring engineers and managers, and raising the standard for engineering quality, ownership, and systems thinking.Ensure execution across multiple services and teams, managing dependencies with Delivery Hero services by maintaining clear priorities, surfacing risks early, and tracking progress, challenges, and outcomes.Assist the team in balancing feature delivery, system reliability, and technical enhancements, with hands-on involvement as needed to remove obstacles or support critical choices.Mentor and support the development of engineers and managers to foster their growth.
