Educational/Experience Requirements:Completion of a two-year radiological technology program from an AMA-approved institution. A minimum of one year of experience as a radiologic technologist, with either one year of CT experience or successful completion of an in-house CT cross-training program. Required Licenses/Certifications:Completion of a two-year accredited program. Current registration in the relevant imaging modality (ARRT or ARDMS). Active license in the State of Maryland. Maintain current license, continuing medical education (CMEs), and participate in relevant educational activities as mandated.

The CT Technologist I - Outpatient PRN position at Luminis Health covers multiple outpatient locations, including Odenton, Annapolis, Bowie, and Lanham, MD. This role centers on performing both routine radiographic and specialized CT procedures, always maintaining a strong commitment to patient care and established quality standards.

What you will do

  • Collaborate with supervisors to address equipment, staffing, and workflow needs, offering constructive feedback when required.
  • Complete daily quality assurance checks on CT scanners and emergency equipment, keeping thorough records of all tests performed.
  • Gather relevant clinical details before each exam, oversee patient preparation, and document key information accurately.
  • Coordinate scheduling and workflow to help patients move efficiently through the scanning area.
  • Monitor, store, and route supplies for the CT area, reporting shortages as soon as they arise.
  • Maintain a daily activity log and procedures manual, compiling necessary data for monthly reports.
  • Take part in orientation, on-the-job training, and in-service sessions; demonstrate CT equipment and procedures as needed.
  • Deliver customer service that aligns with the ICARE service excellence framework.
  • Assist physicians during emergencies and in cases of adverse reactions to contrast materials.
  • Help orient new staff and contribute to in-service training, supporting ongoing performance and development goals.
