The CT Technologist I at Luminis Health performs routine radiographic and specialized CT procedures in outpatient imaging. This role follows established quality standards and keeps patient needs at the center of each task.
Main Responsibilities
- Work with supervisors to address equipment, staffing, and productivity concerns, offering suggestions for improvement when appropriate.
- Perform daily quality assurance tests on CT units and emergency equipment, and maintain accurate records in line with department protocols.
- Collect clinical information before diagnostic exams, oversee patient preparation, and document important findings.
- Support efficient patient flow in the scanning area by managing scheduling and delegating tasks as needed.
- Oversee storage and distribution of supplies in the CT area, monitor inventory, and report shortages.
- Maintain daily activity logs and procedures manuals, and compile information for monthly reports.
- Take part in orientation, on-the-job training, and in-service activities, including demonstrating CT equipment and techniques.
- Provide excellent customer service in line with the ICARE service excellence framework.
- Assist physicians during emergencies and help manage adverse reactions to contrast materials.
- Help orient new team members and assist in developing training programs based on performance goals and training needs.
