Educational Requirements:Completion of a two-year radiological technology program from an accredited institution. At least one year of experience as a radiologic technologist, including either one year of CT experience or successful completion of an in-house CT cross-training program. Licenses/Certifications Required:Successful completion of a two-year accredited program. Current Registry in a specific Imaging Modality (ARRT or ARDMS). Valid licensure in the State of Maryland. Maintain current licenses, CMEs, and engage in relevant educational activities as per regulatory requirements.

About the job

The CT Technologist I at Luminis Health performs routine radiographic and specialized CT procedures in outpatient imaging. This role follows established quality standards and keeps patient needs at the center of each task.

Main Responsibilities

  • Work with supervisors to address equipment, staffing, and productivity concerns, offering suggestions for improvement when appropriate.
  • Perform daily quality assurance tests on CT units and emergency equipment, and maintain accurate records in line with department protocols.
  • Collect clinical information before diagnostic exams, oversee patient preparation, and document important findings.
  • Support efficient patient flow in the scanning area by managing scheduling and delegating tasks as needed.
  • Oversee storage and distribution of supplies in the CT area, monitor inventory, and report shortages.
  • Maintain daily activity logs and procedures manuals, and compile information for monthly reports.
  • Take part in orientation, on-the-job training, and in-service activities, including demonstrating CT equipment and techniques.
  • Provide excellent customer service in line with the ICARE service excellence framework.
  • Assist physicians during emergencies and help manage adverse reactions to contrast materials.
  • Help orient new team members and assist in developing training programs based on performance goals and training needs.
