The CT Technologist I position at Luminis Health centers on performing both routine radiographic and specialized CT procedures in outpatient imaging. Patient care and adherence to established quality standards guide every aspect of this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with supervisors to address equipment, staffing, and productivity issues, and contribute suggestions for improvement.
- Carry out daily quality assurance tests on CT units and emergency equipment, keeping accurate records according to department protocols.
- Gather clinical details before diagnostic exams, manage patient preparation, and document significant findings.
- Facilitate smooth patient flow in the scanning area by coordinating scheduling and delegating tasks as needed.
- Oversee supply storage and distribution in the CT area, monitor inventory, and report shortages promptly.
- Maintain daily logs and procedure manuals, and collect data for monthly reporting.
- Participate in orientation, on-the-job training, and in-service sessions, including demonstrations of CT equipment and techniques.
- Deliver customer service that aligns with the ICARE service excellence framework.
- Assist physicians during emergencies and support the management of adverse reactions to contrast materials.
- Help orient new colleagues and contribute to training program development based on team goals and training needs.
