We are seeking a dedicated Construction Site Quality Control Manager who is located within a comfortable driving distance to La Grange, TX. In this pivotal role, you will ensure that all operations on the job site adhere to stringent quality control standards, customer specifications, and relevant codes. You will report directly to the Project Manager, playing an essential role in safeguarding the integrity and safety of all project activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Quality Control:
- Prepare and maintain comprehensive job packages to document all project welding activities accurately.
- Supervise daily job site activities to ensure compliance with customer specifications, quality control guidelines, and jurisdictional regulations.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to detect deviations and swiftly address noncompliance issues.
- Coordinate inspection activities and oversee the stamping of pressure-retaining items.
- Document any nonconforming conditions and take corrective actions to uphold project integrity.
- Technical Acumen:
- Ensure the correct use of welding procedure specifications and manage the storage and control of welding electrodes.
- Perform nondestructive examinations on weldments and coordinate related activities to verify structural integrity.
- Test and certify welding personnel to ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Collaboration:
- Supervise nondestructive examination activities to guarantee accurate results.
- Lead and support subordinate Quality Control Inspectors to ensure consistent quality adherence.
- Critical Thinking:
- Ensure all documentation aligns with customer requirements, quality control standards, and applicable codes.
- Possess a valid Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification from AWS.
- Bring a minimum of eight years of experience in ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code construction or National Board Inspection Code repair work, with at least four years in a Quality Control role.
