About the job

At Flexcompute, we are pioneering the future of multi-physics simulation by transcending traditional solvers to create a platform defined by unmatched speed and physical accuracy. We are in search of a talented Computational Scientist to spearhead the creation of our innovative structural mechanics solver.

We value a deep foundational understanding of physics over mere tool proficiency. We seek an architect capable of deriving the governing equations from first principles and translating them into a resilient numerical framework.

About Flexcompute

We are a leader in 'Physics Intelligence', simplifying hardware innovation to the ease of software development. Our solvers, such as Flow360 and Tidy3D, are not merely faster; they operate almost instantaneously, slashing simulation times from days to mere minutes through extensive GPU parallelism and proprietary algorithms.

  • Intellectual Density: Our team comprises around 90 highly skilled professionals, including over 50 PhDs from prestigious institutions like MIT and Stanford. You will collaborate with peers who will inspire you to elevate your thinking and work continuously.
  • Impact: Our cutting-edge technology is currently utilized in designing optical interconnects, 3D chiplets, quantum computing chips, eVTOL aircraft, and the next generation of wind turbines. You will be instrumental in building the “math engine” that catalyzes significant engineering advancements.
  • Stability & Growth: As a Series C stage company with substantial funding and revenue-generating products, we are poised to disrupt the $20B+ simulation market.
