Key Responsibilities
The Class B Driver plays a crucial role in safely transporting and unloading products to our valued customers while maintaining daily interactions to address and resolve any issues that may arise. You will report directly to the Fleet Manager.
This position is ideal for a safety-conscious, self-motivated individual who can adapt to flexible shift start and end times. As an essential member of the Fleet Department, this is a great opportunity to build a career with an industry leader.
Primary Duties Include:
- Handling and loading/unloading glass and metal products, ensuring load securement, and performing daily pre and post-trip vehicle inspections.
- Executing multiple deliveries while providing excellent customer service.
- Unloading various products, including loose, crated, and racked glass, metal, and operating boom cranes.
- Consistently adhering to all DOT regulations, safety policies, and procedures, including Critical Safety Rules, is essential for this role.
Ideal Candidate Qualifications
- Must comply with all DOT requirements, including possessing a valid Medical Examiners Certificate.
- Flexibility with start and end times is essential.
- Ability to read and interpret mathematical measurements related to glass sizes and delivery schedules, as well as effectively utilize a tape measure.
- Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English is required.
- Strong customer relations and interpersonal skills are a must.
