About the role:
We are seeking an innovative Marketing Manager to spearhead the launch and growth of our client's presence in the Chinese market. This pivotal role presents an exceptional opportunity to shape a high-impact business from its inception.

As the inaugural local marketing representative in China, you will design and implement a robust go-to-market strategy, enhance the brand's visibility, acquire users via Chinese digital channels, and manage collaborations with local partners and agencies.

This position is perfect for a strategic thinker who excels in execution and is eager to build something remarkable from the ground up in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Market Strategy & Execution
    • Lead the marketing strategy for our client's entry into the Chinese market, ensuring alignment with global objectives and local consumer behavior.
    • Develop a thorough marketing plan detailing key acquisition, awareness, and retention strategies tailored to the Chinese digital landscape.
    • Select, guide, and oversee a local marketing agency to carry out campaigns across major Chinese platforms (such as WeChat, Xiaohongshu, Baidu, Douyin) to ensure culturally relevant and high-quality execution.
    • Own growth performance and continuously optimize campaigns for essential KPIs such as CAC, ROAS, LTV, and marketing ROI. Regularly track and report on key metrics including impressions, CTR, and conversion rates through comprehensive dashboards and insights.
    • Establish a scalable test-and-learn framework to validate messaging, creative, and targeting strategies for Chinese audiences.
    • Ensure full compliance with regulations and platform requirements, overseeing all marketing initiatives.
  • Build & Localize Our Client's Brand in China
    • Define the local brand positioning based on competitive analysis, customer insights, and market dynamics.
    • Design and implement brand-building initiatives to enhance awareness and consideration, utilizing content, influencers, partnerships, and community marketing.
    • Ensure all messaging and creatives are localized to resonate with Chinese travelers while maintaining alignment with the global brand identity.
    • Identify, negotiate, and manage strategic local partnerships, including agencies, influencers, and affiliates to support both acquisition and brand-building objectives.
    • Monitor and report on brand awareness and sentiment using qualitative and quantitative metrics.
