Key Responsibilities:Regulatory & Compliance Oversight and ExecutionGlobal Regulatory Strategy: Direct regulatory compliance across iCapital’s international presence, including the U. S., Canada, UK, Europe, and APAC, facilitating expansion into new regulated markets. Alternatives & Structured Products: Provide guidance on regulatory requirements for alternative investments, structured products, annuities, and both registered and private fund vehicles. Licensing & Registrations: Manage regulatory registrations, licensing, exemptions, and ongoing obligations with regulators including the SEC and FINRA. Policies & Controls: Ensure the development and maintenance of scalable policies and controls that align with regulatory requirements and business strategy. Regulatory Engagement: Lead regulatory examinations and audits, fostering strong relationships with regulators and external advisors. Enterprise Risk & Governance LeadershipEnterprise Risk Management (ERM): Design and implement iCapital’s enterprise risk management framework.

About the job

The Chief Risk Officer (CRO) is a pivotal role at iCapital Network, designed to establish a robust second line of defense. This position integrates Regulatory & Compliance, Enterprise Risk & Governance, and Safety, Resilience & Incident Management into a cohesive risk management framework. The selected candidate will play a crucial role in the Performance and Risk Management team, taking charge of the firm's enterprise-wide risk management, regulatory compliance, and safety/resilience initiatives. This leader will ensure that iCapital maintains strong governance, disciplined risk oversight, and regulatory credibility as we expand our global presence.

Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, the CRO will collaborate closely with executive leadership, the Board, and the Audit & Risk Management Committee to proactively identify, assess, and mitigate risks across iCapital’s global operations. This strategic role is essential for the continued growth of iCapital, necessitating a seasoned executive with extensive expertise in alternative investments and complex regulatory landscapes.

The CRO will oversee the administrative and strategic activities of the teams dedicated to regulatory compliance, risk management, controls, and resilience, while acting as a trusted advisor to senior leadership.
