Qualifications
What You’ll Be DoingProactively generate new business through field prospecting, cold outreach, and local networking. Sell payment solutions and POS systems to SMB merchants, especially in the hospitality industry. Target established businesses with a monthly transaction volume of £25k or more. Conduct structured discovery sessions to understand business operations and identify opportunities. Deliver customized product demonstrations for POS and payment solutions. Lead pricing discussions and close sales using a consultative, value-driven approach. Manage your sales pipeline, forecasting, and activities in accordance with SumUp standards. Build and leverage referrals from your merchant base and local connections. Who We’re Looking ForAt least 2 years of proven B2B field sales experience focused on new business development. Recent roles must primarily involve new business acquisition. Demonstrated success in selling to SMB customers (territory-based selling). Experience in merchant services, payments, or POS is highly preferred. Consideration will be given to other relevant technical or hospitality-related field sales experience. A genuine self-starter with a proactive approach. Full UK driving license is required.
