Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related field. Proficiency in 3D CAD software (e.g., NX, SolidWorks) and experience in 2D drawing creation. Familiarity with Model-Based Definition (MBD) and Product and Manufacturing Information (PMI), preferably with NX. Capability to perform 3D tolerance stack-ups. Excellent communication skills and ability to thrive in a collaborative, cross-functional team environment.

Join our dynamic Consumer Goods product development team as a Design Engineer, where you will take the lead in designing, documenting, and launching innovative home appliance products. Your role will encompass the full product lifecycle from concept to manufacturing, ensuring adherence to safety standards, quality benchmarks, cost-efficiency, and customer satisfaction. Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams—including Electronics, Quality Assurance, Purchasing, Manufacturing, Product Management, and Suppliers—to create robust, manufacturable solutions that align with customer needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain 3D CAD models and 2D drawings for components, systems, sub-modules, and appliances, following the BSH product development process.
  • Ensure product quality and safety throughout development and sustaining engineering efforts, in accordance with internal guidelines and agency standards (UL/CSA, IEC).
  • Prepare Bills of Materials (BOMs) and technical data packages aligned with the BSH product development process.
  • Oversee Engineering Change Requests (CRs) in collaboration with customers and internal value streams.
  • Conduct GD&T and 2D/3D stack-up analyses as required.
  • Create and manage risk assessments (e.g., FMEA, DRBFM) throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Engage in analytical problem-solving initiatives utilizing methodologies such as 8D, Six Sigma, or DOE.
  • Recommend materials and component technologies for design optimization.
  • Define testing parameters, supervise test execution, and compile results to validate product performance.
  • Coordinate with Product Management, Quality, Purchasing, Manufacturing, and Suppliers to ensure timely product realization.
