Qualifications:High School Diploma or equivalent. Automotive training in basic car maintenance and repair, or a combination of education and experience that demonstrates equivalent competence. ASE certification and State Inspection license preferred where applicable. Must possess a valid driver’s license with a satisfactory Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) and be able to operate customer vehicles for test drives. Possession of a basic set of tools is required, or participation in Monro’s tool purchase program. Profile Summary:Proficient in performing fundamental automotive maintenance, repairs, and tire services. Ability to diagnose automotive issues and identify effective repair solutions. Capable of interpreting and executing instructions in various formats, including written, oral, and diagrams.

About the Role:

Join our team as an Automotive Technician - State Inspector, where you will play a crucial role in ensuring our guests receive top-notch service. This position is available for both full-time and part-time schedules, offering hourly compensation tailored to the needs of our business. As a key member of our service team, you will conduct vehicle diagnostics and perform routine repairs and maintenance in line with our high standards and manufacturer guidelines. Your ability to communicate effectively with guests regarding vehicle issues and solutions will contribute to delivering a consistent 5-star experience.

Salary Range: $23.00 - $35.00 per hour, based on experience. This position also qualifies for additional compensation and incentives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive vehicle diagnostics to accurately identify necessary repairs.
  • Perform Monro’s Courtesy Inspection on every vehicle, documenting and communicating any additional services or repairs needed; review inspections completed by General Service Technicians.
  • Assist with inventory management tasks, including pulling tires and parts, and stocking shelves.
  • Facilitate general store operations, ensuring the location adheres to Monro’s cleanliness and organization standards for a guest-ready environment.
  • Execute services in compliance with Monro’s safety protocols, including but not limited to Wheel Torque and Oil safety practices.
  • Test drive vehicles according to Monro’s Road Test procedures, ensuring adherence to local traffic laws and safety regulations.
  • Stay updated on technical knowledge and skills by completing all Monro University training modules promptly.
  • Safely operate and maintain all tools and equipment in accordance with Monro and manufacturer guidelines.

Perform additional duties as required and assigned.
