Ability to collaborate in a team-oriented environment. Motivation to succeed in a dynamic, entrepreneurial setting. Proactive approach with the capacity to handle increased responsibilities over time. Strong relationship management capabilities with stakeholders of varying seniority.

We support all of Guidepoint's service offerings, facilitating connections and conveying how we empower clients to stay informed and make informed business decisions. Our teams are driven to deliver tailor-made offerings that maximize the value of our partnerships.

We are currently looking for a talented individual to join our Institutional Sales team as an Associate Vice President, Client Growth. This role reports directly to the Head of US Client Growth and involves promoting our subscription-based research services to various business units within existing clients, including hedge funds, mutual funds, and private equity firms, to boost overall usage.

Please note: This is a hybrid role based in our New York City office.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Acquire a comprehensive understanding of industry coverage and the competitive landscape.
  • Collaborate with management to expand the user base within client firms, proactively promoting Guidepoint subscriptions based on client usage.
  • Engage in outbound prospecting to generate leads within existing client accounts, following up on warm leads.
  • Achieve designated growth targets through strategic and thoughtful approaches that enhance client value.
  • Effectively onboard new users.
  • Collaborate closely with the client service team to gather feedback on ongoing projects and the advisors we have provided for client review.

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of experience in sales, business development, banking, business consulting, and/or account management.
  • A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year university.
  • Extensive knowledge of the sales process, from lead generation to relationship management.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to engage high-profile clients (Hedge Funds, Mutual Funds, Private Equity, Corporates).
  • Proven ability to thrive in a team-oriented environment.
  • A strong desire to excel in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial atmosphere.
  • Demonstrated initiative and capability to take on increasing responsibilities over time.
  • Strong relationship management skills with stakeholders at various levels of seniority.
