This position is an excellent opportunity to join our UK team as an Associate Structural Engineer, where you will play a key role in advancing our sustainability goals.
Your New Role
As part of our expanding UK Healthcare Team, you will engage in client interactions, business development, key account management, and the delivery of innovative advisory and design solutions tailored for the healthcare sector across the UK, with the potential for international collaboration.
We provide flexible working arrangements, allowing you to operate from any of our primary offices, or from home. You will work on exciting projects such as Hillerod Hospital in Denmark, Cambridge Children’s Hospital, Royal Marsden, and Shrewsbury & Telford Women and Children’s Hospital.
Your Key Responsibilities Include:
- Leading and developing the Structural Engineering team within the UK Healthcare division.
- Managing your own projects from inception to completion.
- Ensuring high standards of technical excellence in design work while delivering exceptional client service.
- Acting as project manager to allocate resources and coordinate tasks to meet deadlines.
- Collaborating with a diverse team of Structural Engineers and other engineering disciplines such as MEP, civil, and geotechnical engineering.
- Enhancing the visibility and reputation of the UK Healthcare Team.
- Developing and supervising structural engineering concepts and design philosophies.
- Representing Ramboll at project meetings and liaising with clients and partners.
- Communicating design specifications to team members and on-site personnel.
- Implementing best practices to ensure the delivery of sustainable, innovative, and high-quality advisory and design services.
- Conducting site visits to support structural engineering design development and review ongoing contract works.
- Participating in technical groups and team meetings to foster continuous improvement.
- Driving team improvement initiatives.
