As an Associate Practice Area Director, you will be responsible for building a talented staff, coordinating all commissioning activities in your region, and ensuring client satisfaction. Your role will involve generating new revenue streams and enhancing existing ones within the Commissioning Market Focus. You will focus on developing and deepening your network of prospective clients and business partners, including owners, architects, and PM/CM firms. You will track leads for major pursuits, forecast a project pipeline, and craft winning strategies and teams. Additional responsibilities include:Staying informed about market trends both regionally and nationally, ensuring your team remains at the technical forefront of this practice area. Developing a robust internal network to facilitate the identification and sharing of resources.

Syska Hennessy Group is hiring an Associate Practice Area Director I - Commissioning for its offices in Los Angeles, San Francisco, or Sacramento, CA. This leadership role supports the Commissioning practice and offers a path to regional leadership across the Western United States. Syska Hennessy Group delivers consulting, engineering, and commissioning services for advanced technical buildings and their operational systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the pursuit, acquisition, and delivery of Commissioning projects, with a focus on complex technical facilities.
  • Direct a regional team, shaping business plans and guiding project pursuits.
  • Oversee a diverse portfolio of projects, each with its own organizational structure and processes.
  • Collaborate closely with both regional and practice area leadership.
  • Maintain strong relationships with current clients and participate in new, innovative projects.
