As a Salesforce Architect specializing in Public Sector Solutions, your primary responsibility will be to design, govern, and deliver scalable Salesforce solutions tailored for government and public sector entities. This role demands extensive knowledge in Salesforce Public Sector Solutions (PSS), compliance-focused architectures, and intricate enterprise integrations while maintaining high standards for security, scalability, and long-term sustainability. You will collaborate closely with government stakeholders, business analysts, delivery teams, and platform owners to convert policy, regulatory, and service requirements into effective Salesforce solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Architecture & Solution Design
- Develop comprehensive Salesforce architecture utilizing Salesforce Public Sector Solutions, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, OmniStudio, and Flow.
- Establish scalable and secure application, data, and integration architectures compliant with public sector standards.
- Create reference architectures, solution blueprints, and technical design documentation.
- Align solutions with enterprise IT standards, digital transformation strategies, and cloud governance frameworks.
Public Sector Domain Expertise
- Architect solutions for:
- Case & Complaint Management
- Licensing, Permits, and Inspections (LPI)
- Grants Management
- Benefits & Eligibility Management
- Citizen Services & Digital Portals
- Interpret legislative, regulatory, and policy requirements into Salesforce functionalities.
- Ensure solutions are accessible (WCAG compliant), uphold data privacy, and are audit-ready.
Salesforce Platform Leadership
- Define Salesforce best practices, design patterns, and coding standards.
- Lead configuration and customization using:
- OmniStudio (FlexCards, Integration Procedures, DataRaptors)
- Flows (Screen, Auto-launched, Scheduled)
- Apex, LWC, and SOQL as needed.
- Oversee Experience Cloud portals for citizens, partners, and internal users.
- Drive platform optimization, performance tuning, and reduction of technical debt.
Security, Compliance & Governance
- Design security models including role hierarchy, sharing rules, permission sets, and data classification.
- Ensure compliance with:
- FedRAMP (where applicable)
- SOC 2
- GDPR / CCPA
- State and Federal data protection regulations
- Implement audit logging, encryption, identity management, and secure authentication (SSO, MFA).
Integration & Data Architecture
- Architect integrations with external systems such as:
- ERP and Financial Systems
- Identity & Access Management systems
- Legacy government platforms
- Document Management Systems
