Key Responsibilities:Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, motions, and various legal documents. Take and defend depositions, represent clients in mediation, and prepare for trials. Draft and respond to discovery requests, assisting in trial preparation. Communicate effectively with clients and colleagues. Local travel for court appearances, mediations, arbitrations, site inspections, and depositions is required. Exhibit a proactive, team-oriented attitude with a commitment to outstanding client service. Requirements:Admission to the Delaware State Bar is required; admission to Ohio is a plus. Experience in both state and federal courts and with administrative agencies is preferred.

O’Hagan Meyer is hiring an Associate Attorney for its Wilmington, Delaware office. This position focuses on commercial and general liability litigation. Candidates should bring 3-6 years of experience handling these matters.

What You Will Do

  • Work on defense litigation involving mass torts, class actions, and professional liability claims
  • Represent clients across a range of sectors, including skilled care facilities, hotels and motels, legal professionals, architects, engineers, and sports teams
  • Engage with complex legal issues and collaborate with experienced colleagues

Who We’re Looking For

  • Licensed attorney with 3-6 years of experience in commercial and/or general liability litigation
  • Background in mass torts, class actions, or professional liability defense is preferred
  • Experience representing clients in any of the following: skilled care, hospitality, legal, architecture, engineering, or sports sectors
