What You Bring:A background in finance, ideally in a similar management accounting or assistant accountant role. Part-qualified accountant (ACCA/CIMA) or equivalent experience. A solid grasp of accounting principles and practices. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic team environment.

Role Overview

The Assistant Management Accountant - Revenue will play a key part in the month-end close and help maintain accurate financial records. This role supports the group order-to-cash cycle and provides the opportunity to take on both transactional tasks and financial analysis. Collaboration across multiple teams is a regular part of the job.

What You Will Do

  • Assist with the month-end close, including journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations, working alongside Operational and Delivery teams.
  • Help improve finance processes and controls, including supporting automation projects within the department.
  • Spot trends, recurring issues, or control gaps, and suggest ways to improve them.
  • Ensure billing practices follow internal controls and accounting policies, with thorough documentation.
  • Work closely with Sales, Operations, and Delivery teams to support proactive billing.
  • Manage shared finance inboxes, responding to queries promptly and professionally.
  • Support the integration of AI and automation in Order to Cash processes.
  • Carry out monthly customer-level P&L analysis, recording key movements, trends, and variances.
  • Assist with audit requests by preparing and organizing required evidence and documentation.
  • Prepare and maintain balance sheet reconciliations, explaining and correcting discrepancies as needed.
  • Support the Revenue Controller with ad-hoc analysis, reporting, and special projects.
