About the Position
LlamaIndex is seeking an Applied AI Solutions Architect who thrives at the nexus of enterprise sales and technical implementation. This pivotal role is integrated into our revenue efforts—transforming skeptical engineering teams into advocates and guiding promising evaluations to successful contracts.
You will manage the technical relationship from initial discovery through proof of concept, collaborating closely with Account Executives on real-time opportunities with leading AI innovators. Your role extends beyond simple product demonstrations; you will diagnose critical infrastructure issues, design tailored solutions, and cultivate trust with stakeholders who will depend on the architecture long after the agreement is finalized.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct in-depth technical evaluations, proofs of concept, and solution design sessions for enterprise clients across various industries and use cases.
Collaborate closely with Account Executives to mitigate deal risks, identify technical challenges early, and establish credible pathways to success.
Articulate complex AI and data infrastructure concepts effectively to both engineering teams and C-level executives in the same dialogue.
Design and prototype solutions utilizing LlamaIndex's platform to meet customer demands concerning accuracy, latency, cost, and scalability.
Act as the voice of the customer internally, providing insights to Product and Engineering that enhance our roadmap.
Desired Qualifications
Solid engineering background with hands-on experience in AI/ML systems, data pipelines, or enterprise software architecture.
Proven track record in customer-facing technical roles, including pre-sales, solutions engineering, or technical consulting.
Ability to operate in uncertain environments: you can define a problem, make informed assumptions, and progress without waiting for complete information.
Strong go-to-market instincts—understanding what it takes to build technical consensus within a buying committee.
Effective and confident communicator capable of translating system design trade-offs into business risks for executives.
Prior experience with LlamaIndex or LlamaCloud is not mandatory; we value your thought process and problem-solving approach.
