Integrating with CAD APIs to enhance automated modeling and simulation processes. Developing geometric algorithms to optimize designs for manufacturing efficiency.

About the job

Atomic Machines is revolutionizing micromanufacturing through its innovative Matter Compiler™ technology platform. This groundbreaking platform empowers the design and construction of advanced micromachines by offering manufacturing processes and a diverse materials library that surpasses traditional semiconductor methods. It paves the way for MEMS manufacturing, enabling not only the production of previously unattainable device classes but also entirely new categories. Unlike typical 3D printing, which utilizes a single material and process, the Matter Compiler™ is a versatile, multi-process, multi-material system: raw materials transform into fully functional micromachines. Our team is also preparing to unveil our first device, made possible only through this advanced technology platform.

Our offices are located in Emeryville and Santa Clara, California.

About The Role:

As an AI CAD Engineer, you will spearhead the development of our CAD automation workflows, creating generative and programmatic CAD pipelines that convert design specifications into manufacturable micro-device assemblies. You will work in close collaboration with our AI, Modeling & Simulation, and Design teams to build systems capable of automatically exploring, assembling, and optimizing designs from our extensive components library. Join us as part of a dedicated cross-functional team, committed to advancing the frontiers of micro-manufacturing and computational design.

This position is primarily onsite at our Emeryville, CA office, with occasional opportunities for remote work as needed.

Please note that the compensation band listed below may vary based on your experience and level. This role spans various levels, from early-career to senior (L4–L6). Final leveling will be clarified during the interview process, and we welcome strong candidates eager to develop into broader technical leadership or architectural roles.

About Atomic Machines
