Role Overview
Bank of Georgia is looking for an Advanced Business Analyst to join the IT & Data Platforms Tribe in Tbilisi. This position sits within the Data Platforms Team and centers on developing and managing the enterprise data warehouse, with a focus on building and improving product-centric Datamarts for multiple business domains.
This role connects business stakeholders and the data engineering team, translating complex business needs into scalable data models. The work supports the foundational data layer that powers analytics and strategic decisions across the organization.
Main Responsibilities
- Collaborate with stakeholders from different business units to gather, analyze, and document requirements for product-specific Datamarts.
- Translate business needs into detailed functional and technical specifications for the Silver data layer, including identifying data sources, defining transformation logic, and setting business rules.
- Design logical data models for Datamarts, focusing on performance, scalability, and analytical needs.
- Serve as the main point of contact between business teams and data engineering to ensure successful implementation of data products in the warehouse.
- Create and maintain a comprehensive data dictionary and business glossary for the Silver layer to support data literacy and consistent usage across the company.
- Ensure all data models and Datamarts meet high standards for data governance, quality, and security.
- Support the data engineering team in testing and validating data pipelines and final data products to confirm they meet business requirements.
- Document all data products thoroughly, including data lineage, model diagrams, and transformation logic.
- Lead workshops and meetings with stakeholders to define KPIs and analytical needs that draw from the Silver layer.
