Permanent Direct Hire - Full Time Position
The Accounting Manager will oversee all facets of general accounting, including the fiscal closing process, SOX compliance, budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, balance sheet reconciliations, and tax reporting and filing. Additional responsibilities include managing Accounts Payable, coordinating weekly check processing, handling banking transactions, overseeing plant invoicing, managing receivables collections, supervising both hourly and salary payroll processing, serving as the audit liaison, and completing various tasks as assigned.
Key Responsibilities:
- Report directly to the Controller and ensure the timely and accurate completion of the fiscal closing process, including closing journal entries and sub-ledgers.
- Reconcile and review general ledger accounts and sub-ledgers while investigating discrepancies.
- Ensure adherence to all SOX requirements and lead the accounting team in achieving full compliance, alongside continuous improvement initiatives.
- Liaise with internal, external, and SOX auditors.
- Develop and implement enhanced processes and controls within the accounting team.
- Complete special projects related to accounting as requested by internal divisions or corporate.
- Manage the accounting team, which includes accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general accounting operations.
- Meet strict deadlines consistently.
