Essential Job Functions:Compile and analyze financial data for journal entries. Conduct balance sheet reconciliations and analysis. Oversee bank account reconciliations. Assist in identifying and coding unallowable expenses. Support data gathering for external financial and tax audit processes. Help document and monitor Financial Management System Policies to ensure compliance. Manage the Sales and Use Tax accounting and reporting. Contribute to general accounting process improvement initiatives. Set up and maintain vendor master files. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:Ability to maintain confidentiality in accordance with government standards. Strong interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with peers and supervisors. Professional interaction with the public and vendors. Adherence to workplace policies. Application of basic financial/accounting principles in assignments. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Experience and Skills:Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent experience (minimum 2-6 years). Proficient knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles. Intermediate Excel skills and effective use of Microsoft Office. U. S. Citizenship may be required for security clearance.
