This position focuses on designing, deploying, configuring, and supporting both IT and Operational Technology (OT) infrastructure for SCADA systems used in utility-scale solar and battery energy storage projects. The engineer will help maintain the reliability, security, and scalability of infrastructure across several domains, including SCADA servers, virtualization platforms, networking, cybersecurity, remote access, storage, backups, and field connectivity. Close collaboration with teams in SCADA engineering, controls, project management, supply chain, product engineering, and IT operations is required to standardize, deploy, and support infrastructure that meets project schedules and customer requirements. Main responsibilities Design, configure, and support SCADA infrastructure components, such as servers, storage, network switches, firewalls, remote access systems, virtualization platforms, and backup systems for large-scale PV and BESS projects. Oversee the architecture and lifecycle management of Windows-based SCADA environments, including domain structures, user access, patching, antivirus, endpoint hardening, and system recovery. Implement and maintain virtualization solutions (Hyper-V, VMware), including VM creation, template management, resource allocation, performance tuning, and migrations. Configure and troubleshoot industrial and enterprise networking: VLANs, routing, switching, firewalls, VPNs, NAT, cellular modems, and secure remote access for project sites and engineering environments. Support SCADA application hosting environments, including server readiness, redundancy, historian storage, NAS/SAN integration, backup and restore, and disaster recovery planning. Develop and maintain standard infrastructure architectures, documentation, network diagrams, BOM inputs, installation standards, and commissioning support procedures. Collaborate with SCADA software, controls, and commissioning teams to ensure infrastructure is ready for FAT, eFAT, HIL testing, site deployment, and ongoing operational support. Troubleshoot infrastructure issues during integration, FAT, commissioning, and post-COD support, including server performance, network connectivity, remote communications, and cybersecurity controls. Work with supply chain and manufacturing teams to define standard hardware, manage procurement inputs for infrastructure, and improve build quality and repeatability.
