This role may suit you if you: Have a background in competing or teaching middle and high school students in mathematics competitions, including but not limited to: AMC, AIME, MATHCOUNTS, USA(J)MO, IMO Value student-led learning and discussions, allowing students to actively engage with the material Create an interactive classroom atmosphere that promotes critical thinking and problem-solving skills Are adept at utilizing virtual teaching platforms, such as Zoom, to conduct live classes. Schedule (Academic Year): AoPS Academy operates as an afterschool program with classes held in the evenings and on weekends. Candidates must be available to teach during weekday after-school hours (beginning as early as 4 PM) and/or on weekends. This position requires an initial commitment of approximately 3 hours per week for each assigned class. Each course meets once a week for 1 hour and 45 minutes. Schedule (Summer): During summer, we offer multiple two-week camps running from June to August. Summer camp classes take place Monday through Friday for 3 hours each day, with both morning and afternoon sessions available. Campus Location: This is an in-person position at our Irvine, CA location. Candidates must reside in Irvine or the surrounding areas and be able to commute to our campus.
