Make and advocate for architectural decisions, including template standards, environment setup, and plugin or extension strategies, balancing cost, performance, risk, and delivery speed. Establish standards and guardrails for CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), observability, security, and platform operations. Coordinate technical work across DevOps, development, and architecture teams, removing obstacles and supporting consistent delivery. Act as a senior technical point of contact for engineering, Cloud, security, architecture, and executive stakeholders, connecting technical decisions to business outcomes. Shape strategies for golden paths, Software Templates, TechDocs, and Scaffolder in Backstage to support scalability, reuse, and a strong developer experience. Define observability methods, set SLOs, and track DORA and platform metrics such as adoption, internal NPS, lead time, and change failure rate to guide priorities and show value. Promote DevOps, GitOps, and Platform Engineering practices as standard models, supporting the technical growth of teams.
